Bellows
Used to compensate for vibration, thermal expansion and to allow for misalignment in ducts. Available in metallic (stainless steel, mild steel) and non-metallic (high silica PTFE, glass fibre) construction.
Rotary air lock valve
Used to regulate and discharge bulk material from a hopper or silo while maintaining an air lock between two pressure zones. Fitted under the hoppers of bag filters, cyclones and multiclones.
Screw conveyor
To transport bulk materials in a wide range of applications, with hard facing for abrasive material handling. Available in mild steel and stainless steel.
Where it is used
Information needed to select or quote
- Duty point. Volume flow and static pressure at the fan inlet, with the gas density and temperature or the conditions to derive it.
- Operating conditions. Site altitude, normal operating temperature and continuous or intermittent duty.
- Gas stream. Dust loading and particle size, corrosive species, moisture, upset temperature and any tendency of the material to deposit on the impeller.
- Mechanical. Rotation viewed from the drive end, discharge orientation and motor power.
