When it is needed
- The impeller is worn by erosion or corrosion and the plant needs a spare on the shelf
- The original manufacturer no longer exists or no longer supports the model
- The fan vibrates and balancing no longer holds because the wheel has lost metal
- Blade failure has taken the fan out and the shutdown clock is running
- The plant wants wear protection, a different material or a different blade form on the next wheel
What we do
- Reverse engineer from the old wheel, the drawing or the casing: hub bore and keyway, backplate and shroud, blade number, form and angle
- Select the material for the duty: mild steel, stainless steel, wear-resistant plate, or lined
- Manufacture, hard-face or line where the duty is abrasive, and balance static and dynamic with records
- Fit and align at site if required, and test
What you get
- An impeller that fits the existing shaft and casing, with balancing records
- Where asked, a wheel that outperforms the original on power or wear life
- A drawing on file so the next spare is a repeat order
Spares are the cheapest insurance a fan user buys. A measured drawing on file turns a three-week emergency into a repeat order.
