The process
Reactors, storage tanks and process vents release acid, alkali or organic vapour that is scrubbed before discharge. The vent fan is in PP-FRP, FRP or stainless steel to suit the vapour, with the motor outside the gas path and a mist eliminator on the scrubber outlet.
The gas
Fume from pickling, acid handling or reactor vents, corrosive and often wet. PP-FRP, FRP or rubber lined construction, with the motor outside the gas path.
Fans in this process
| Duty | What it does here | Type usually selected |
|---|---|---|
| Fume Exhaust System | Hoods, ducting and an exhaust fan that capture fume at source and deliver it to a scrubber, bag filter or stack. | Backward inclined and radial tipped |
| Mist Eliminator | Separates entrained liquid droplets from a vapour or gas stream, ahead of a compressor, a fan or a stack.. | Demister Knockdown Vessel |
| Ventilation Fan | Moves air through a plant or building for fresh air supply, heat removal and fume dilution where the system is ducted. | Backward inclined and forward curved |
