The process
The sugar dryer blows hot and cold air through the crystal, with an exhaust fan taking the sugar dust to a wet scrubber. The sulphur burner needs a blower for combustion air and the sulphitation tower exhausts sulphur dioxide fume through a scrubber.
The gas
Air saturated with moisture from drying, with condensation on any cool surface. Drainage, a shaft seal and a material that tolerates wet running are part of the specification.
